Movember Madness Bake Sale

Today was my class' Movember themed bake sale! Personally, I was very excited. I was part of the marketing group so we made posters and handed out flyers. We also had a decorating team and a cookie team.

When 11am rolled around, I booked it out of my room and headed towards the Marketplace to see what special goodies were prepared for today. We had a chef specially make us a cake for this occasion and the cookie team mentioned making gingerbread men with moustaches and other such goodies.

I thought these were cake pops and got excited, but they were actually chocolates. Still tasty and very pretty atop the glass case.

Some very cute marzipan fruits showed up later in the day.

So did some very beautiful cakes. Not for eating though, unless you like cake made of styrofoam. :P

Truthfully, the bake sale wasn't a huge success. Most customers didn't realize today was special or had no idea what Movember is about (it's about prostate cancer). We also had way way waaaay too many gingerbread cookies. Seriously. It was crazy how many cookies we had to package. It took hours.

But despite that, the girls and I had a blast. We joked over the moustaches, the ridiculous cookie situation and a variety of other things about this Customer Management class we were in. As yes, we took various pictures with moustaches. Who can resist?
